CNN —The most anticipated season of “The Crown” has arrived, and no one’s losing much sleep over the Queen this time. One of the many things that captivated viewers when “The Crown” arrived in 2016 was its cinematic scale. The lines between episodes one and three of season six, by contrast, are impossible to draw. As “The Crown” tells it, Al-Fayed’s relentless campaign to see his son Dodi and Diana engaged and thus secure British citizenship is almost as culpable for their deaths as the crash itself. Diana’s final night in Paris is rendered as the fatal culmination of Al-Fayed’s engineering of their relationship, and his pressure on Dodi to propose.

CNN —Wedding bells are ringing in the final season of Netflix’s “The Crown.”The streamer teased a big storyline for the Emmy-winning series on Monday, confirming that the 2005 wedding of then-Prince Charles to Camilla Parker-Bowles will be featured in the sixth and final season. Here’s a hint at what’s to come in our final season,” the caption on Netflix’s tweet on Monday read. Charles became King Charles III and ascended the throne in September 2022 after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning British monarch. As both had been previously married, Charles and Camilla wed in a small civil ceremony. The late princess recorded a series of audio tapes in the 1990s and had them secretly delivered to author Andrew Morton before her death in a high-speed car crash in 1997. The answer is: The last battle of America’s war of independence was fought on this continent. DuVal and others say two key protagonists of the Revolutionary War – Britain and France – actually fought the final battle of the conflict in Cuddalore, India, in June of 1783. Britain and, to a lesser extent, France were well established with colonies in India when the American Revolution began and had already brought their hostilities from Europe to the subcontinent, according to the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. “They brought news that six months before in Paris, the British, French and the Americans – the Dutch were a little later – signed the Treaty of Paris ending the American Revolution,” he says. “Cuddalore, India, was indeed the last battle of the American Revolution.”

CNN —Sweet crayon drawings by a very young King Charles III will show a different side to Britain’s royal family when they come up for auction this week. Emma Errington/Hansons AuctioneersIt is thought that Charles drew the crayon and pencil pictures of his parents between 1953 and 1955, when he would have been about 5 or 6 years old. The young prince chose a more sober black and white for his drawing of his father, Prince Philip. There are eight other drawings by the young Prince Charles, as he was at the time. There is also a cartoon-style illustration, thought to have been done between 1954 and 1956, which the young prince drew for his father.

If Charles III wants the pomp and ceremony of a coronation, he should instead use a negligible portion of the vast sums of money he has accrued over the years thanks to his birth-given status as a royal. Spain’s last formal coronation was all the way back in 1555, while Belgium’s monarchy doesn’t even have a crown with which to conduct a coronation. It also found that a plurality of 45% believe Charles is “out of touch” with the experiences of the public. However, these tourist dollars might well continue whether or not the royal family does. Maybe if a tighter budget is applied to the British royal family, Charles rather than taxpayers will be paying the next time he opts to board a £32,000 ($40,200) charter flight to attend a James Bond premiere.
